There’s nothing like grabbing some popcorn and getting immersed in a film for a few hours.

But did you know that south east London offers an outdoor rooftop cinema?

Located in the Bussey Building in Peckham, this rooftop outdoor cinema offers a selection of classic films that you can watch whilst sitting on a deckchair with views of London.

Guests will also get their own personal set of headphones to truly immerse themselves in the cinema experience, and there’s also a bar serving food, drink and popcorn.

Ticket prices start at £16.95 for a traditional lounge seat.

For the astronomy nerds, you can go and view the night sky even during the day from the Planetarium at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.

Located in Greenwich Park, the Planetarium offers guests a chance to sit back and see the night sky, through an immersive simulation which will make you feel as if you’re flying through space.

The Planetarium shows vary, with fun immersive experiences on space exploration, family friendly shows, and informative displays of what you can see in the night sky during the time of year that you go.

Tickets cost £12 for an adult, £6 for a child, and £8 for students and under 25s.

Located in the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, the Skittle Alley is one of Greenwich’s best kept secrets.

It was first built in 1964 as a form of amusement for the Greenwich Pensioners and can still be visited today for free.

Guests can try their hand at bowling in the setting of a Victorian bowling alley, using wooden bowling balls as the Greenwich Pensioners would have.

The Skittle Alley is open daily from 12pm-3pm.

Have a cocktail at a former underground public toilet

Did you know that you can drink in a bar that has been built from a former underground toilet?

Located in Bermondsey, this 30s art deco style bar still retains a lot of the original tiles and features it would have done when it was used as a public toilet.

But the toilets themselves have long since been removed, and replaced with an upmarket bar serving wines, spirits, and craft cocktails.

The bar also offers live jazz music and is open Tuesdays – Sundays from 6pm – 2am.

Inspired by the events surrounding the Fall of Troy, this immersive theatre production gives audiences the chance to follow along in a sensory experience, as you move from the palace of Greece through to the streets of downtown Troy.

The production combines classic text, contemporary dance, performance and design installation to set the scene of the events surrounding the fall of the once great city of Troy.

If you’re a resident of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, you can get tickets for £25 by entering your postcode online, although a limited number of tickets are available.
