Man City broke two Champions League records in PSG win as Chelsea and Real Madrid warned

Manchester City beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie, sealing a 4-1 win on aggregate and earning City a spot in the final. In the process, Pep Guardiola’s side broke an existing record and equalled another.

By winning the second leg, City became the first English club to record seven consecutive victories in the competition.

Manchester United, Leeds and Arsenal have all previously won six consecutive games.

City have also won 11 Champions League games this season, equalling the record for most wins in a single campaign since the current format was introduced in 2003.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have also won 11 games in a single campaign and all three of those went on to lift the trophy that year.
