A desperate search for a four-year-old girl who vanished from her family tent at a remote camping ground in Western Australia will continue at first light.
Cleo Smith was last seen about 1.30am on Saturday morning at the Blowholes Campground in Macleod – 50km north of Carnarvon.
Air, sea and land search crews combed the area after the family reported her missing from their tent.
A WA Police spokesman said the search would recommence at 7am Sunday.
The majority of crews were called off after sunset on Saturday due to safety concerns however some land search teams worked overnight.
Cleo was last seen wearing a pink/purple one-piece sleepsuit with a blue and yellow pattern.
Her mother Ellie Smith posted photos on Facebook of her little girl, urging people to contact police if they had seen her.
“It’s been over 24 hours since I last seen the sparkle in my little girl’s eyes. Please help me find her. If you hear or see anything at all please call the police,” Ms Smith wrote at 1.45am.
She described it as “very, very unusual” behaviour from the little girl.
“We are currently searching high and low with police, SES and locals,” her mother said.
