At least 15 people were shot, including a young woman who died, by at a crowded bar in Minnesota early Sunday morning, according to the local police department.
Officers found a “hellish situation” when they arrived at the St. Paul bar about 12:15 a.m. Sunday, the department said in a statement.
“In an instant, they found themselves caught in a hellish situation,” St. Paul Police Chief Todd Axtell said.
The statement, posted Sunday morning, said that preliminary information cops discovered at the scene suggests that there were “several shooters.” No arrests have been made.
A woman in her 20s was pronounced dead, and 14 other gunshot victims, who were rushed by medics to local hospitals, are expected to survive, according to the St. Paul police department.
“My heart breaks for the woman who was killed, her loved ones and everyone else who was in that bar this morning,” said Axtell.
