Update after man in his 40s rushed to hospital following Carshalton stabbing

Police have issued an update after a man was rushed to hospital following a stabbing in Carshalton.

A man in his 40s was rushed to hospital by ambulance after being treated at the scene.

His condition is not thought to be life threatening.

No arrests have been made.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue.

Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 4951/10May.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 15:45hrs on Tuesday, 10 May to reports of a stabbing in Nightingale Road, Carshalton.

“A man, believed aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment to stab injuries – his condition is not thought to be life threatening.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.

“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 4951/10May.”

A London Ambulance Spokesperson said: ““We were called at 3.42pm this afternoon (10 May) to reports of a stabbing in Nightingale Road, Carshalton.

“We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene.

“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre, by road, as a priority.”
