Police issue statement as three-car crash causes traffic chaos on A2 in Bexley

Police have issued a statement after a three-car which caused traffic chaos on the A2 in Bexley.

The incident happened in East Rochester Way just after 9am today (January 25).

Officers, London Ambulance Service, and London Fire Brigade were called to the scene.

Police say only minor injuries were reported.

No arrests have been made following the incident.

National Highways (@HighwaysSEAST) said on Twitter there were delays of over 35 minutes following the incident.

The crash has since been cleared and delays have eased.

We have contacted London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade for further information.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 09:04hrs on Wednesday, 25 January to reports of a road traffic collision in East Rochester Way, Bexley.

“Officers, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade attended and found three vehicles in collision.

“Only minor injuries were reported.

“No arrests have been made.”
