The city of London is giving outdoor rinks, community centres, pools and arenas the green light under the London-Middlesex red category reopening plan.
Today, outdoor skating at Victoria Park and Covent Garden Market reopened for up to 25 people at each rink at any given time.
At Victoria Park, the city plans to regulate the number of skaters by handing out wristbands each morning on a first-come, first-serve basis for 45-minute time slot the following day. The wristbands must be picked up in-person.
Here’s what Londoners need to know:
- Storybook Gardens Trail will reopen Feb. 20. Registration for skating slots are now open online.
- Recreational swims and fit swims at pools will start back Feb. 20.
- Indoor arenas will reopen on Feb. 22. Registration for rink-time is now open.
- Select indoor and outdoor recreation programs at London community centres will start back Feb. 22, with more returning the first week of March.
The City of London says that all local health guidelines and provincial regulations, including greater restrictions, capacity limits and modifications to programs are being put in place to keep participants and staff safe.
