Ex-Celtic star Tierney in Scotland injury fear as Arsenal reveal ankle knock

FEARS are growing over Kieran Tierney’s availability for Scotland crucial World Cup qualifiers next month.

Scotland take on Moldova and Denmark in November knowing three points would guarantee them a play-off spot.

However, Tierney may not feature after being ruled out of Arsenal action through an ankle injury.

The defender has been a key man for Steve Clarke and Scotland but it’s not known if he’ll be in contention after his latest injury setback.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta confirmed he was out with an ankle knock but didn’t reveal the severity of the injury.

With the crucial Scotland matches just around the corner, Moldova on November 12 and Denmark on November 15, it’s feared the matches could come too soon.

Arsenal were forced to reveal Tierney was out injured for the Aston Villa match after fans questioned his absence.

A vague club tweet read: “Kieran Tierney does not feature tonight due to a bruised left ankle.”
