Cyclist killed in hit-and-run in east London early Sunday | CBC News

A cyclist is dead after a hit-and-run collision in east London Sunday morning near Hamilton Road and Little Grey Street.

A male was transported to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries after London Police received reports of an injured pedestrian around 4:42 a.m., due to a motor vehicle collision. He later died in hospital. 

The suspect vehicle may be a dark-coloured sedan with significant damage to the front end, hood and windshield, police said. 

The name of the victim will not be released until next of kin is notified. 

All roads have reopened while the police investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone who was on Hamilton Road from 4:30 a.m. to 4:45 a.m. who has information or video footage that could assist the investigation to contact London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Information can also be sent online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
