Michael Douglas’ performance in Romancing the Stone made him a Hollywood star. He went on to star in a string of hit movies, Fatal Attraction, The Jewel of the Nile and The War of the Roses, in which the latter two he again teamed up with Romancing the Stone co-star Kathleen Turner.
In 1988, he won the Best Actor Oscar for his role in the crime drama Wall Street.
Now 77, Douglas continues to act to this day, most recently starring in the Ant-Man films. He also stars in the Netflix hit series, The Kominsky Method, which won him Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy at the 2019 Golden Globes.
He celebrates 22 years of marriage this year to actress Catherine Zeta-Jones. Together, they share son Dylan, 21, and daughter Carys, 19.
Douglas also has a son, Cameron Douglas, 43, from his first marriage to Diandra Luker.
