The Jonas Brothers have challenged the Hemsworth brothers to a UFC match, which may just go ahead — if the Hemsworths get back to them.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas playfully made the proposition while promoting their new special, Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers.
Joe joked that the brothers had been inspired by the recent rise in YouTubers heading into the ring.
“We’re going to have a big UFC match,” he said. “It’s gonna be us versus the Hemsworth brothers. The Hemsworths haven’t e-mailed us back yet, but I think it’s gonna be big.”
The Brothers also teased their upcoming Olympic special, where the three of them trained with Olympic athletes for a week, before competing against each other.
But the boys aren’t so sure they’re Olympic-ready.
Ever the self-deprecating, Kevin commented: “We got the opportunity to pretend like we were Olympic athletes for a week or so…and then they filmed it for the audience at home to watch and laugh at us”.
The experience was definitely not smooth sailing, especially for Nick, who broke his rib during one Olympic challenge.
“They said to us, this is easy, you’re going to do the BMX track that 11-year-olds do,” said Nick.
“What they didn’t tell us, is that these 11-year-olds have been doing it [at Olympic level] since they were three or four years old”.
His brothers didn’t seem to have too much pity spared. While Nick was mid-explanation Fallon quipped, “Kevin’s laughing by the way”.
In the rare Zoom interview with the three brothers, they also reminisced about their last tour before the pandemic, and talked about how excited they were for their upcoming Remember This tour, which is expected to come to Australia in August.
