Police are investigating a Leamington fire last week that destroyed what was once a beloved restaurant.
At approximately 6:15 a.m. on April 1, police responded to the blaze at the former Paula’s Fish Place building in the 800 block of Point Pelee Drive, which engulfed the building and caused an estimated $700,000 in damage.
No one was injured.
Police are looking to identify the occupant or occupants of a vehicle observed in the area around the time of the fire. Investigators believe the driver and any occupants may be able to assist them.
Police ask anyone in the area around the time of the fire to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122 if they have information that may assist in the investigation. Area residents are also asked to check their home video surveillance footage for any suspicious persons or activity around the time of the fire.
