For this to play out like that, it’s just embarrassing,” one sister said
Two sisters got the shock of their lives when they opened their mother’s casket and found a woman who wasn’t their mother inside.
“For this to play out like that, it’s just embarrassing,” Taylor said.
The bodies were switched and the service took place, but the sisters claimed an apology was never issued nor did anyone explain how the mix-up happened.
“No one addressed it immediately,” said Archer. “It would have been a different situation if they had just come upfront and addressed it immediately to show that yes, they did, they made an error.”
She added, “What do (they) do to prevent something like that from happening?”
The funeral home’s embalmer confirmed the incident to the news station, saying it was an honest mistake and an apology was given to the family. He added it was the first time something like that had happened in his 40 years of embalming.
