The donation, worth roughly $1,200, is part of Lee and Maria’s Sponsor a Box program that sees weekly customized produce boxes delivered to non-profit organization across Windsor and Essex County.

“Traditionally, our subscription box members contribute to these donations, but thanks to the generosity of Libro Credit Union, we’re able to extend our support to The Hospice, Erie Shores Campus, a very deserving organization,” said Kathy Mastronardi-Black, vice-president of Kingsville-based Lee and Maria’s.

Fruits and vegetables from more than 20 farms in Windsor-Essex County and Chatham-Kent will be included.

“Libro uses all our resources to grow prosperity in southwestern Ontario, investing 100 per cent of our profits into the people, businesses, and communities we serve,” said regional manager Lori Atkinson.
