Beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 11, vaccines for hepatitis B, meningococcal disease, and human papillomavirus (HPV) will be available by appointment at Mackenzie Hall (3277 Sandwich St. W.) from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Students can also receive these vaccines through their family doctor, nurse practitioner, and other community health-care providers. The west end clinics are being held for families unable to access the vaccines otherwise.

Families can book an appointment by calling the health unit’s school immunization helpline at 519-259-2146 ext. 1222 or by visiting the online booking system through wechu.org.

If students have received or plan to receive their COVID-19 vaccine, they must wait 28 days after that shot to receive any of the vaccines being offered at the Mackenzie Hall clinic. Students who receive any non-COVID-19 vaccine must wait 14 days to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
