A second incident of vandalism damaging the same motor vehicle has LaSalle police searching for a male suspect.

All four tires on a white Ford Mustang, parked in the lot at Malden Square Plaza on Malden Road, were punctured April 5 at approximately 1:30 p.m., according to the LaSalle Police Service.

Police were called to scene but were unable to locate a suspect.

Video surveillance from a nearby business captured the incident.

The suspect is described as an older male, wearing a blue coat, jeans, brown shoes and a medical mask. He was carrying a blue umbrella and a white plastic bag.

The man left the parking lot in a silver four-door vehicle.

Damage to the same vehicle was also reported to police on March 26. The car had been parked in the same lot and the owner reported it had been scratched along the entire driver’s side.

Video footage revealed that at 12:15 p.m. a male wearing a black hoodie with the hood over his head and a medical mask walked along the driver’s side of the vehicle and appeared to be causing the scratches, according to police.

Anyone with video surveillance in that area is asked to review the footage to see if the events were captured and provide the information to police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the LaSalle Police Service at 519-969-5210 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
