100-year old living on £46 a week due to ‘frozen’ state pension

“We hope the Government will engage in future discussions to end this policy and give all UK pensioners the support they are entitled to, no matter where they live.”

If inflation remains at around the same level it is now, state pensioners would see their payments rise to £200 per week.

Currently, the full new state pension stands at £185.15 per week, while the basic state pension is £141.85 per week.

All payment increases to benefits, including the state pension, are implemented on April of every year.
